Personalized Counselling Services
Therapy can be helpful in many different seasons of life. You don’t need to have everything figured out to being. If something feels too hard or too heavy to hold on you’re own, that’s enough
Queer Support
I offer individual therapy in a queer-affirming, nonjudgmental space where your gender identity, sexual orientation, and relationships are welcomed and respected. While sessions are one-on-one and tailored to your unique needs, I center LGBTQ+ experiences like coming out, identity exploration, relationship and family dynamics, minority stress, and trauma. Using approaches that validate your identity and build resilience.
I prioritize cultural humility, openness, and collaboration, helping you clarify goals, develop coping skills, and connect with community resources when desired. Whether you’re seeking support around transition, dating, anxiety, depression, or identity-related concerns, my practice is committed to providing compassionate, informed care that honours who you are.
Grief, Trauma, Pet Grief
I provide gentle, individualized care utilizing approaches that blends trauma-informed approaches with grief-focused interventions to help you make sense of painful emotions, restore a sense of safety, and build practical coping skills for daily life. Whether you're navigating sudden loss, complicated grief, or long-held traumatic memories, I work collaboratively with you to honour your story, pace the work to your needs, and support gradual healing. Helping you find resilience, meaning, and renewed connection to yourself and others. Learning to live with grief or trauma can be difficult, but it does not have to be that way.
My background in animal welfare and veterinary medicine continues to shape my work. I hold a particular space for pet loss and the unique bond people share with their animals. Losing a pet is a real and significant loss. If you’re carrying that kind of grief, it deserves care, acknowledgment, and support.
Anxiety
For anxiety, our sessions will provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to link past experiences, lifestyle, and relationships to your anxiety and create a clear plan to reduce symptoms and build resilience. We can work on generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and existential anxiety. Therapy can reduce distress, improve daily functioning, and help you regain activities and relationships that matter.
Relationships, Boundaries & Self Worth
Relationships are a major part of our wellbeing, yet they’re often where we feel the most challenged. You might be navigating a shift in a romantic relationship, experiencing strain within your family, or feeling stuck in difficult friendships. You may also notice patterns like people pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions.
These experiences are often connected to how you see yourself, including self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling like you’re not enough. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your relationships and what might be getting in the way. This includes communication, emotional triggers, and patterns during conflict, while building self trust, clearer boundaries, and more balanced, fulfilling relationships. Individual and couples sessions are available.
Stress, Burnout & Emotional Regulation
Stress can build over time and start to impact every part of your life. You might feel exhausted, irritable, disconnected, or like even small things take too much effort. Burnout often shows up quietly and usually means you’ve been carrying too much for too long. Emotions can also feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or hard to understand. You might notice yourself shutting down, reacting quickly, or feeling out of control.
Together, we’ll look at what’s contributing to your stress, how it’s showing up, and what patterns may be keeping you stuck. We’ll build awareness of your emotional responses and develop ways to manage them that feel more steady, realistic, and supportive.
Life Transitions, Identity & Personal Growth
Change, even positive change, can feel overwhelming. It often brings a mix of emotions that can be hard to navigate alone.
This might look like moving, changing careers, entering or leaving a relationship, becoming a parent, or questioning who you are and who you’re becoming. This can also include exploring your identity, gender, or sexuality, or making sense of how different parts of yourself fit together.
Therapy offers a space where you can show up as you are, without pressure or judgment. Together, we’ll create space to reflect, understand what feels true for you, and help you move forward with more clarity and intention.
